Do software developers have stereotypes? Yes. Everyone has stereotypes. It is how we humans categorize things. We can’t PREVENT stereotypes, so use them to your advantage. We ALL stereotype, but can you let go of it when you see who people really are. John’s Tip: Be “smart” about your appearance for a job interview. You don’t want to be stereotyped negatively. Find the commonality and then break the stereotype. You can reinvent yourself whenever you want. Stop thinking you HAVE to be a certain way.
